SCREEN STUDIO ORIENTATIONS
Screen Studio orientations will be held the first half of the semester.
Start the process by filling out the Orientation Access Form.
Please expect Orientation to take about 1 hour, more if you bring supplies to prep.
The Screen studio supplies 1-2 screens per student, depending on the project timeline.
The studio uses water-based ink only. Limited amounts of ink are available, and you can consult about purchasing from local art supply stores. You are expected to bring your own paper, tape, newsprint, etc.
Orientations acquaint you with the studio, and the equipment you are able to access within it.
Orientations do not teach you how to use equipment. For that, you need to enroll in a class or take credits with a faculty member. You may be asked to show work that you made used the technique you are requesting access to.
You must be able to work alone in the studio, unsupervised, with the technique you have requested access for.
PAPERMAKING ORIENTATIONS
Papermaking orientation are very limited, and you must be an upper-level student who has taken 2 Papermaking classes at CCA, and the faculty will be contacted for your referral.
