Update your Home Contact Information in Workday
Before you begin
This how-to guide is for any current employee or student, and will walk you through updating your home contact information.
Please note that your personal email and mobile phone number will automatically be included in the following uses:
- Rave emergency contact notification (see RAVE: Emergency Notification System for more information)
- CCA password resets
1 Log into Workday and navigate to your profile
Login to Workday at workday.cca.edu.
Once logged in, go to your profile using the icon/avatar at the top right corner of the screen.
2 View your Contact information
Navigate to your contact information screen, which is slightly different depending on whether you are viewing your employee or student profile:
- Students: In the left sidebar under your name, click on the Contact link.
- Employees: In the left sidebar under your name, click on the Personal link, then the Contact tab within the personal information section.
Here you'll see your Home Contact Information as well as Work Contact Information (for employees only) and Institutional Contact Information (for students only).
3 Edit your home contact information

From your Contact Information screen
- Click the Edit button
- Select Change My Home Contact Information

4 Updates to your primary home address
Effective Date
- As a general rule, use today's date as the effective date for your address change, even if this is a future address for you. Future-dated address changes can be difficult to find and manage.
Primary Home Address
- Indicated by checking the checkbox “Primary” for one of your addresses. One (and only one) address must be marked as Primary.
- Your Primary Home Address should be where you are living for the current semester, or where you are working if you are an employee.
Unless you specify otherwise (see below), your Primary Home Address will be used for mailing, including paychecks, W-2s, student refund checks, diploma and other mailed items. It is also considered your home address when not at school.

International Students
Remember that immigration regulations require you to update your address within 10 days of moving.
5 Additional Addresses
If you would like to specify an address other than your Primary Home Address for mailing or other purposes, use the “Add” button to add additional addresses.
It is important to specify how CCA should use these additional addresses, indicated by selecting one or more options in the “Usage” field. These are the Usages relevant for students:
- Mailing: If you specify an address as a “Mailing” usage other than your Primary Home Address, CCA will use this address for mailing paychecks, student refund checks, and most other mailed items.
- Permanent: For students only. This is your home address when you are not in school. If you live with your family when not at school, enter your family’s home address here. CCA will use this address for mailing your diploma and other items that would typically be mailed after the semester has ended.
6 Update your home email and phone number
Edit (pencil icon) an existing entry or Add a new phone number and home email address.
Note these requirements:
- For domestic (U.S.) numbers, your primary phone number needs to be in a (XXX) XXX - XXXX format.
- For international numbers, your phone number needs to include city or area code.
- Visibility lets you set information as public to CCA affiliates or private only to you and authorized viewers.
Note: The mobile number and/or personal email entered here will automatically be added to CCA's RAVE emergency notification system. This mobile number and/or personal email will also be available to use if you need to reset your CCA password.
